FAQs

  • Stōkt is free for all climbers.

For gyms and wall owners, we charge a one time fee per wall setup, and per reset. Pricing varies by wall size, please check our pricing for new walls here and for wall resets here.

  • You can change gyms by tapping “change” on the top right corner of the Home screen.

  • If you are not able to reset your password, you most likely have used Google or Apple to sign up. You won’t be able to reset these passwords via Stōkt. You can only do so using Google, or Apple directly.

If you have lost access to Google, please reach out to us, and we’ll transfer your account to a basic one, so that you’re able to reset your password.

  • We accept all training walls (also called Woodies, Splash Walls, System Walls). We also accept symmetrical walls and adjustable angles.

  • Stōkt enables gym managers to moderate their walls directly through the app. Once you are registered as one of your gym's admin, you'll be able to receive an email whenever someone reports a climb, hide spam problems, rename or modify any climb.

  • Our grading system has been carefully designed to be as simple and as accurate as possible, to help you keep track of your progress. The climb setter can suggest an initial grade but if other climbers send the climb and suggest different grades, we will take their votes into account in the final computation of the grade you'll see. In practice, we display only these "smart crowd grades" since, in the end, community consensus is the only way to make a fair decision on grades.

Sure, grades can change a little bit over time, but the more you give your opinion about them, the faster they will settle down. Exactly like on real rock - so don't be shy, you help everyone in your gym when you add your grade!

  • We immensely value your feedback, please share all your ideas on how to improve Stōkt in the the app, from your profile screen, tap on the settings icon, then “Give us feedback”.

  • Yes, you can only delete a climb if nobody else has sent it. You can also edit the grade and name of your climb.

  • Start logging your sends and attempts today! Know your strengths and weaknesses, pinpoint what you need to work on.

  • To delete your account, please log into the Stōkt app, go to your user profile, tap on the settings wheel, then "Delete Account". We will delete your account and all data associated with it, with the exception of the climbs you created: they will be reassigned to an inactive user.

  • If you ordered via our website, we can issue you a refund easily.

If you ordered via the app, it is purchased from and billed by the respective App Store (e.g. the Apple App Store or Google Play Store), not by us. You will still have access to all of the same features within your account; however, an In-App Purchase is subject to the terms, conditions and other licensing arrangements specified by that app store provider. As such, you must take up any payment-related issues or refund requests with the app store provider directly. Unfortunately, this means that we cannot apply any subscription-based discounts or offer codes, unless you cancel your subscription through the App store and reactivate on our website.

To request a refund for your In-App Purchase, you will need to request directly through Apple Support by following the steps below:

1 Head to Apple Support https://getsupport.apple.com/

    2 Select Billing & Subscriptions

    3 Select Subscriptions & purchases

    4 Select Request a Refund

  • Every change made to your wall will require work on our end and we charge a fee that will depend on the complexity of your setup. The minimum fee for a wall update is $40.

    - If you decide to do a full reset, it will be the same fee as your original setup, most likely $40 (if you have less than 100 holds).

    - if you do not move/remove any holds but simply add new ones, there is a good chance we can preserve your climbs. Please try to take the new photo from the same spot as the previous one. The photos should be as similar as possible.

    - if you move/remove holds in the process of updating your wall, the problems that were using these holds will be deleted.
